How to Reduce Individuals’ Ecological Footprint without Harming Their Well-Being: An Application to Belgium

Human activities are a key driver of many environmental problems the world is facing today, including climate change, disruption biogeochemical cycles, and biodiversity loss. Behavioural changes at individual household level needed to reduce humanity’s impact, but people also need capacity behave in sustainable way. If their well-being negatively impacted or if behaving sustainably too time consuming expensive, might be less inclined change behaviour. In this article, we look determinants different types pro-environmental behaviour how these associated with experienced levels well-being. More specifically, focus on behaviours that influence both ecological footprint (EF) satisfaction life. our analysis include socio-demographic characteristics number psychological antecedents (PEB).
